How to backup your Gmail account data

Many of us keep business information and data in our Gmail account and we can�t afford to lose them. Some also use it to share and receive some personal information such as bank related details, photos, etc. Hence, it becomes more important to keep them secure. While Google has added several security features to Gmail, but it is still essential to be extra secure by taking a complete backup of our Gmail data.

Pre-requisites:
A PC or Mac device with working internet connection
Enough storage space to download the archive file
First things first:
Google allows users to back up their Gmail account data in several ways and this how-to guide we are looking at how to save Gmail account data to PC hard drive.
To backup Gmail data, Google creates an archive of all the data and let them download using �Google Takeout� option and here�s how to do it.
1.Open �Google Takeout� website on any browser or can directly visit �https://takeout.google.com/.�
2.Login using Gmail account credentials
3.Once logged in, users need to select all the services for which they want to download the data on their PC.

4.The list of services includes Gmail, Maps, Activities, News, Calendar, Contacts, Youtube, etc.
5.After making the selection, click on the �Next Step� button.
6.Here users need to customise archive format by selecting the archive frequency, file type, file size, etc.
7.Once done, click �Create Archive� button from the bottom right

8.Wait for the process to complete and download.
Note: Users can also share the download link via email or can directly download their data to cloud storage such as OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.
