How to play PUBG Mobile and other Android games on PC

If you ever wonder how to play Android games on your PC, this guide is what you need.
Playing mobile games on your Android smartphones is convenient. But one area where smartphone arent really great when it comes to gaming is controls. This can result at sloppy gameplay. And some game do require fine controls to get better at it. In case youre wondering how you can play Android games on your PC, follow the steps below.

Android games, like Android apps can be run on Windows PC using emulators that help create an Android environment in a PC setting. There are many emulators available out there, both free and paid ones. Today we will be speaking about one of the better free options available out that that will help play Android games on PC. Here are the steps to play an Android game on your PC.
Go to the Nox website (https://www.bignox.com/) and download the latest version of the emulator software.
Once the download is complete, begin installing the software on the PC, which is fairly simple matter
After the installation of the software is complete, the installer will prompt to Start the application

On launching the application, it will automatically configure and launch the default Android interface
Here one will have options to install and play any of the games that are available on the Google Play Store

There are a few things to be noted though, some games like PUBG Mobile have developers who discourage using other emulators to play the game as they have their own and take serious steps when they find unregistered emulator users. To avoid this players can use the PUBG Mobiles official emulator to play the game on PC. The emulator comes with settings for cores, speed and FPS which ought to help control it and the performance 0f games being played on it. Use these to optimize the gameplay to the needs and another thing to remember is that emulators are taxing on the hardware of the PC and low end PC may face difficult running games on higher specifications.

Fortnite 7.20 Content Update Adds Sniper Shootout Limited Time Mode, Sneaky Snowman Item, and More

  • As the name suggests, Sniper Shootout has scoped weapons only
  • The Sneaky Snowman item can be found in chests and supply llama
  • Omega Pyramid has been added to the game's Creative Mode showcase
Fortnite 7.20 content update is out right now. Epic Games has confirmed that its battle royale sensation will get a new Sniper Shootout Limited Time Mode (LTM), a Sneaky Snowman item, and performance fixes to prevent frame rate slow downs during building. The update is live in Fortnite with no downtime required. There's a new community creation called Omega Pyramid in the Fortnite's Creative Mode showcase called The Block too. The Sneaky Snowman drops in stacks of five with a maximum stack size of 10 and can be found in floor loot, chests, and supply llamas. Here's everything you need to know about the update.

Fortnite update 7.20 Sniper Shootout LTM patch notes
  1. Summary: in this limited time mode, players will do battle using scoped weapons only. May the best aim win.
  2. Suppressed Sniper Rifles have been added.
  3. Legendary Scoped Pistols have been added to Supply Drops.
  4. Floor Loot spawners reduced by 50 percent.
  5. Reviving "Down But Not Out" teammates in Duos and Squads is deactivated.
  6. Profile Stats (K/D and Wins) are tracked in this mode.
Previously, a report from Nielsen's Superdata claimed the game has made $2.4 billion in 2018. This is the first time we're seeing revenue data for Fortnite for an entire year. Superdata claims that Fortnite is the highest selling game of 2018 in addition to the highest earning free-to-play title, eclipsing the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Though keep in mind that Epic Games itself does not release any revenue details regarding any of its games, let alone Fortnite.

It is also important to note that Fortnite is available on every platform Android, iOS, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. This also ensures it has a higher chance of monetisation versus other titles. This is lower than the alleged $3 billion in profit alone reported earlier in the month.

"Free-to-play titles amassed 80 percent of digital games revenue in 2018 but premium games still performed well in Western markets," the report reads. "Asian mobile games helped the region earn 62 percent of global free-to-play revenue, while North America and Europe generated 80 percent of premium games revenue."

PUBG Mobile Vikendi Snow Map Download Now Available on Android and iOS

  • Vikendi is finally available for download on Android and iOS
  • It's the game's first snow map
  • It has a 134.2MB download size
As scheduled, PUBG Mobile has received the Vikendi snow map for Android and iOS. This follows the PUBG Mobile 0.10.0 update that went live earlier this week which added support for Vikendi. Keep in mind that you can't play on the PUBG Mobile Vikendi snow map just yet. Developer Lightspeed and Quantum is giving players a day to download the map before opening up matchmaking for it 24 hours later. This is fairly generous because the PUBG Mobile Vikendi snow map download size is 134.2MB on Android and iOS. The PUBG Mobile Vikend snow map start time is 5:30am IST on December 21.

Aside from adding support for the new map, the PUBG Mobile 0.10.0 update brings some interesting features such as the Firearms Finish Upgrade System. This lets players get new cosmetic items such as kill effects and death crate appearances. The arrival of Vikendi in PUBG Mobile makes it the second platform to receive the map after PUBG PC developer PUBG Corp announced it was hitting Steam on December 19. A hotfix for PUBG Mobile was released just before Vikendi was available for download.

PUBG Mobile Vikendi update hotfix notes
  • Fixed a bug where the 'Ultra' frame rate setting in HD mode was not available on iPad 2018.
  • Fixed a resolution detection bug on iPad Pro 12.9".
  • Fixed a bug where some devices had reduced graphics quality.
  • Fixed a bug where the graphics quality is reset to default after a restart.
  • Fixed a bug where the sound from left channel is louder than the right channel when another player is running towards you from the right side.
PUBG Mobile now has 30 million daily active users and has hit 200 million downloads, Tencent said in a statement. This number excludes China and just highlights how popular PUBG Mobile is across the world. The game has a huge player base in India and many other markets, and the fact that PUBG Mobile runs smoothly on even low-end Android devices has definitely boosted its popularity.
However, the 200 million downloads number doesn't paint an accurate picture of how many people play the game. The daily active users is a metric people should look at to gauge PUBG Mobile's popularity and even that number is very high.

Thanks to being on Android (as well as iOS), PUBG Mobile dominates Asia and China according to Sensor Tower, with the US making up only 30 percent of PUBG's revenue. PUBG Mobile on Android is very popular in markets where there aren't many PCs or consoles, such as India. Many people here use Android devices as their primary computing device and that adds to the game's popularity.
PUBG Mobile has been actively adding new features to the game on both Android and iOS. We've stated before that the game is better on mobile than on PC and consoles.

How to get better performance and FPS on PUBG Mobile

This is all you will need to know to increase the performance of the PUBG Mobile game on your Android smartphone.
If there is one game on mobile right now that can be called the most popular, that would probably be PUBG Mobile. It was launched in March and the game has grown to become a phenomenon. It has almost eclipsed the popularity of the PC version of the game and has even managed to beat out the mobile version of its biggest rival, Fortnite.

But like its PC version, the mobile version of the game is a very demanding game in terms of hardware. And it usually does not run as smooth on the lower and mid-end devices. Its performance is not perfect even on high-end and flagship devices. And low FPS, graphics and performance end up affecting the game experience and players have a hard time winning. PUBG Mobile has even become a competitive game with a whole lot of tournaments being held.
And we have come across a couple of processes to enhance the performance of PUBG Mobile, but since one of these processes leaves the other ones moot, we will only be showing one. This method essentially uses the other one to fix the performance issue.
How to get better PUBG Mobile performance on Android
Now the method we will be talking about only works on Android because iOS does not let apps tweak background files.
1. Installing the app GFX Tool by developer tsoml from the Google Play Store.
2. Once installed launch the app to come to the menu interface with a whole list of options.

3. Select the correct version of the game from the top, keeping in mind that (GP) indicates the global version that is downloadable from the Google Play Store.
4. Then comes resolution, and here it is suggested that users select the highest resolution supported by their device display.
5. Next comes graphics, and here select Balanced for a very optimal performance. Users can select Smooth or HD based on the hardware quality of their phones. Remember, selecting higher quality will make the phone heat up.
6. Next is FPS and here almost all devices come with 60 FPS displays and selecting 60FPS will produce the best results.
7. As for Anti-aliasing, we would ask users with mid ranged and budget smartphones to skip this and keep it disabled. High-end device users can use this and select 2X or 4X according to the preference of how much they would want to smooth out the textures.

8. Other options like Shadows and GPU Optimization can be enabled and disabled according to preference.
9. Once the settings are selected, select Accept and then Run Game which will launch the game, and hopefully you will notice the difference.
